Welcome!

to Whitewater Mesa Labyrinths

We are located on a beautiful mesa in southwest New Mexico at the west entrance to the Gila Wilderness. You can see mountains near and far and on all horizons. It is very peaceful here and thus a perfect place to walk a labyrinth. Sunsets are huge and magnificent and the dark night sky is full of stars with the Milky Way clearly visible.

Please do click the photo above to enjoy this panorama of our lovely mesa.

World Labyrinth Day
Saturday 5 May 2012 / 1pm

World Labyrinth Day is a global event in celebration of the labyrinth as a symbol,
a tool, a passion and a practice.  As part of this celebration join us to “Walk as One at 1” to effect a rolling wave of labyrinth walking as Earth turns.

Standing Women
Mother's Day / Sunday 13 May 2012 / 1pm

On Mother’s Day women around the world ring their bells at 1 pm local time and stand in silence for 5 minutes to consider what they can do to bring about a safe world for children and the seven generations beyond. Bells are rung again at 1.05 pm to signify the end of the period of silence.  Bring your bell or borrow one of mine.

On both days the labyrinths will be open from noon until dusk.  The Maypole and ribbons will be installed in the center of a labyrinth.  Join in easy Danish, Swedish and American dances around the Maypole.   Bring your family and friends.   Admission is free although a donation towards upkeep is appreciated.

Join me in Hudson, WI on 11-15 October 2012 for The Labyrinth Society's annual Gathering. See information and the schedule at their website and get early bird registration discount through 31 July.

I have built five labyrinths of different designs and laid out the plan of a maze so that you can feel the differences between walking varying labyrinths and the maze. One of my labyrinths is an equine labyrinth and another is a tabla rasa for shuffling ephemeral labyrinths with your feet. When we have events we dance the Maypole in my Classic labyrinth and sometimes light the labyrinths for a night-time walk.

Whether you come and walk the labyrinths as a group or as an individual you will find peace and experience pleasure.
